Assalamualaikum, Is it necessary to put Abdul before Mohammed Wasi (my sons Name). Can you give the meaning of Haniya and does it spell correct please advice.

No it is not necessary to put Abdul before Mohammed Wasi, and in fact you must not do that because "Abdul" should only be used before the names of Allah, and "Mohammed" is not a name of Allah.
