Meaning of Hadeed
Hadeed is an Arabic name for boys that means “iron”, “sharp”, “penetrating” (as in the word “a penetrating gaze”). It is derived from the H6-D-D root which is used in a number of places in the Quran. Hadeed is also the name of chapter 57 of the Quran. Scholars recommend not using names of Quran chapters as baby names, for this reason if you use the name Hadeed, use it for its meaning, do not use it as a reference to a chapter of the Quran.
You were heedless of this, but now We have removed your veil, so your sight today is sharp. (Quran 50:22)
