Assalamualaikum. I wanted to confirm if minha really means gift from Allah.is it an arabic word? Because i have read somewhere it means 'my' or 'mine'.please can you confirm the origin if possible and is it in quran? Also, what is the meaning of female name 'Mehmil'? Can we use this name?

Yes, Minha really means "gift from Allah". What you have read about is a different word spelled منها, while the name Minha is spelled مِنْحَة, they are two completely different words, though they sound the same due to the fact that English doesn't have some of the letters of the Arabic alphabet.

Mehmil was the name of a 1972 Hindi film, and the word means "love" in Hindi and possibly Urdu from what I can find. I do not know of Mehmil's origin--whether it is Islamic or not--but since it doesn't have a bad meaning, Muslims can use this name.
